Gearing Up for (2012) Kindergarten at Eielson!

Do you have a child entering
Kindergarten in the Fall of 2012?

If so, you will want to check out our Gearing Up for Kindergarten program. Gearing Up for Kindergarten is a parent and child kindergarten readiness program that has fun interactive activities for parents and preschoolers.

Preschoolers learn how to write their name, practice the letters of the alphabet, participate in simple math activities, do lots of singing and reading, but most of all, have fun.

They also learn important social skills: taking turns, listening, sharing, and not interrupting. Parents learn strategies to prepare children for kindergarten and each week create fun take home activities to use at home. Parents are a child’s first and best teacher, come learn how you play an important role in your child’s school success.

Gearing Up for Kindergarten is free to families and is starting soon. The series consists of 16 weeks. Space is limited. Childcare is also provided for siblings up through 5th grade.
Mondays starting January 9th
4:00—5:30 PM

Treats for Troops OVERLOAD!!

At MMO on October 31st, I introduced our Treats for Troops campaign that would run through the week.  Collecting treats to send to our deployed Air Force men and women has allowed us all to show our appreciation for those serving in the military and practice what it means to be Thankful (our character education word of the month).  Thank you to all students, families and staff members that contributed to this great cause!
Our MMO on November 7th (2:15 p.m.) will highlight the final collection of 'leftover' Halloween treats.  In addition, we will pay tribute to all Veterans and those currently serving in the United States military.
